Cheers don’t have emote positions in the emote tag. This isn’t a problem if all the cheers are Cheer### but with custom cheermotes hard coding all the variations is very tricky.
What is the planned solution moving forward?
Not only for finding the cheermote but also the appropriate animated gif/webm

I’ll check on the positioning for cheermotes in the IRC tag.
Thanks that solves my immediate problem. Will be good to get it in tags 
Also, there is a field in that endpoint that gives you the prefix for a RegEx. That can save you from hardcoding.
