Privacy regulation and Loyalty Systems

Hi all,

I’m wondering how loyalty point systems interact with privacy regulations. Effectively, a loyalty system is tracking and storing data on the behaviour of each viewer of the stream - and then displaying that to the streamer. Is that ok? Particularly for services like Streamlabs who sell premium accounts - are they then not monetizing the data they have collected on users?

On a similar note: how do loyalty systems collect viewing time etc? Are they just polling the unsupported /chatters API every minute?

I’m not a lawyer!

Basically yes
