"You are permanently banned from talking in <insert name>." - Bug

So I managed to ban myself thanks to a users suggestion on /r/twitch credit to Pomodorosan for doing it first (https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/4ucg7n/i_banned_myself_from_my_chat_to_see_if_it_would/).
Here is a step by step on how to do it.

  1. Make a comment & toggle the comment cogwheel.

  2. Ban the user

  3. Try talking.

Unbanning oneself doesn’t work with /unban, I thankfully had moobot in my channel and already had given it permissions as such using the “permit” (http://i.imgur.com/P60eVmL.png) I was able to unban myself.

Edit:
Only been 5 minutes since I posted this but it seems a staff member is already aware of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/4ucg7n/i_banned_myself_from_my_chat_to_see_if_it_would/d5ol51l

It’s been filed, thanks.

I always thought it was intentional so that moderators could demod themselves by giving a timeout to themselves. This has been a thing for a very long time.

Just a heads up but you could have easily gone to your channel settings and unbanned yourself there.

The Staff Has Seen It.

Thanks Boi’s
