Any tutorials on creating a live status on a webiste?

I am trying to have a simple “LIVE” that links to my twitch channel when I am streaming on twitch appear on my website and disappear when I’m not.

I know basic html and css and very minimal JS.

I have found a few post trying to help people fix their JS code but no start to finish on what JS files to create and what exactly to put into my html to make the JS show up.

Don’t forget to add client_id to the URL by suffixing it with ?client_id=XXXX after your channel name.
