Anyone familiar with Zapier?

I’m trying to get the API integrated into Zapier.com and am running into some problems (on my part). If you didn’t know it’s sort of a bridge between various services’ APIs like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, WordPress, you name it - there are over 250 services. The service allows you to create automated tasks based on events, like to send a Tweet when there’s a new Facebook post, Send an Email if there’s a new YouTube video, and so on.

Anyway, I’m trying to create a trigger based on if a stream is online. See https://zapier.com/developer/overview. It seems like it’s very easy to do if you’re familiar with the API. Working with APIs gives me a headache very quickly.

Well, I tried experimenting with Zapier last night but unfortunately I was unable to get it to work properly. I kept running into an error, “We couldn’t get any samples from SERVICENAME”, when attempting to test my service. Looks like a neat service if someone is able to get it to work properly.

I agree! Do you know any staff member, perhaps one in the API or development department that may want to try it? If they get it going they can make it available to all Zapier users (https://zapier.com/developer/reference/#activation).

You might try contacting Zapier and see if they can help. Their support is very good.

It’s indeed a great service and I hope we can get Twitch (and Justin for that matter) integrated into it.
