Few weeks ago I have noticed, that images in Bits messages doesn’t load in StreamLabs alertbox.
First, I was thinking that its an usual issue, and will be self-fixed in a day. But it still persist.
If I open alertbox in chrome browser, and do “Test Bits” message, it works. But not in OBS.
I’m not sure but it might be a problem with SSL certificate. That’s what chrome Console shows as warning
The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://d3aqoihi2n8ty8.cloudfront.net will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.
I launched OBS with
--remote-debugging-port=PORT parameter, to get access to devtools.
This isn’t stream labs support
Please ask them
This is not problem of streamlabs only, I just put their alertbox as an example.
I have my own notification app, and issue is the same, works in chrome, but not in OBS.
We need to figure out, is it OBS browser plugin issue, or Twitch’s SSL certificate issue.
As per the linked tweets help article https://support.streamlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001184473-How-to-get-rid-of-the-captcha-on-your-widget
Are you getting Cloudflare captcha blocked?
The SSL Certificate issue does NOT prevent loading at this time. It’s a warning not an error. As you are not running chrome m70
Streamlabs alertbox or my own app, I dont see captcha page in OBS.
Because we just use bits image as
As my screenshots show, I only see that image is not loading and request canceled in devtools, without any errors in Console Tab (in OBS, but in regualar Chrome browser everything is fine)
Temporary solution might be to move cheer/bits images to
https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/ domain, cause chat emotes/badges works fine everywhere.
