[Bug] Standard Smiley - Emotes

#1

Hello Dev Community,

I noticed the following with the emotes:

In the standard smiley emotes, I noticed a bug.

There are weird special characters displayed in the emotes.
See the screenshot.
The chat does not display the standard smiley emotes but only the special characters like:, - /.

The characters must be entered manually, such as  so that it is displayed correctly.

I just wanted to let you know.

I have a personal question / personal request:
Is there actually a possibility to work as a freelancer for twitch?

Although I have a full time job, in my free time I am often on different channels on Twitch.

Is someone still looking for:

  • Checks Viewer for compliance with the rules on the channels.
  • Looking for bugs.
  • Proof by Screenshot.

Would also be a great help for twitch.

Is there someone to contact?

Greetings to you.
UnitForce.

Better off reporting to @TwitchSupport on Twitter or raising a ticket via https://help.twitch.tv/

This is the third party developers forum we cannot really help with the main site.

I’ve been trying for 3 years. All open job listings can be found at

What exactly do you mean by “trying for 3 years”?

Are freelancers so unpopular or is a professional career required as a prerequisite?

As a former contractor for moderation I will say that Amazon/Twitch prefer to hire full time staff. Use on independent contractors has diminished greatly over the last two years.

Also the three things you want to do can already be done by anyone in the community:

  1. Checks Viewer for compliance with the rules on the channels: https://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/725568-how-to-file-a-report
  2. Looking for bugs - https://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/emails/new
  3. See 1 and 2
