Chat bot connects but doesn't receive messages

Hi! I’ve got this bot, it’s source is a slightly modified version of Chhopsky’s bot (link). I ran into a problem though, it does connect to the channel and it gives the “its working” message, but it does not receive any messages being sent in the channel… Here is a picture of the console:

Channel you’re joining should be all lower case

Awesome, it works now! Thank you so much! Is there a specific reason why it won’t accept uppercases, or not?

I suppose channel names are case sensitive, and account channels are created as all lowercase. Joining a channel with a different case means you joined another channel.
