Client-ID for Xchat and MIrc

Hello,

Do we need the client-ID to connect me with XChat and mIRC ?
Because I have a lot of personal games used by these 2 softwares

You only need the Client-ID if you use the Twitch API.

then to connect with MIrc or Xchat (with oauth by kraken) = no problem :smile:

but, for know if the stream is online or offline = no problem too ?

sorry if my questions is “noob”, but i start the dev for twitch t’chat :blush:

If you’re only connecting to the IRC chat you shouldn’t have any problems at all.
