Display if stream is live on a website

Hello,

For the last two days I have tried to do something I thought was simple : use twitch API to get if stream of channel XXX is live.

Unfortunately I struggle a lot and can’t understand why authentication is required to get public informations.

I hope you can help me find what I ask for.

Generally a server to server token is the most commonly used here
