Hi,
I saw several question posts about how to get followers and they all rely on “Get Channel Followers” but this endpoint isn’t available for new users anymore. Is there an alternative to get only the follower count?
Get Channel Followers is the new endpoint, https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference/#get-channel-followers, that’s not deprecated.
You do NOT need a scope for this endpoint if all you need is the total follower count, the moderator:read:followers scope is only needed if you want the list of actual users.
The deprecated endpoint is Get User Follows https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference/#get-users-follows
