Hide extension video component from viewer

I’m developing an extension, a sort of broadcaster tool, which is supposed to help the streamer handling his stream. Since there’s no use for viewers I’m wondering whether there’s a way to completely hide it from the viewer? I know how hide content within the app, but the video component will still show up for the viewer.

Are extensions even suitable for broadcaster tools or is a separate web app more fitting?

Things only meant for the Broadcaster’s eyes should go into the Live Config View, in my opinion. That obviously doesn’t have the video beneath it, so it may not be what you’re looking for.

In the end, depending on what you want to achieve: Yes, a seperate Webapp may be more suitable.

To answer your question: No, there is not a way to “hide” an Extension fully from viewers.
