Is there or will there be a way to set and IRC bot's name?

I have created an IRC bot for my channel using python.

Now I understand I need to have my username on twitch as the nickname I need to set. However I don’t want my bot to have the same nickname I would for example call my bot ClownBot.

Is there a way that I can set this up?

perhaps this functionality is being worked on?

Username and nickname are the same on Twitch. So if want the bot to have the nick ClownBot you will have to create an account with that name and login with it.
