Possible mod or new window for chat

I was wondering if there was any kind of mod that could be used or possibly a new feature that could be added to the user channel that would allow someone to see if a new viewer came into the room. I am aware a person can look up current viewers, but it would be nice to have a notification option added. Very difficult while in a battle to check for current viewers, where as a separate window could just have an active window going.
