Is there any way that twitch server validate that a certain user is playing a certain game? For example, I want to get all channels of players playing DOTA 2. But I don’t want a channel saying that he is playing DOTA 2 but play Starcraft instead. Is there a way for the server to say something like: “This channel is really playing DOTA 2”. Thank you
Probably not without some sort of game based ContentID system to recognize the game being played. Broadcasts with the SDK could automatically set the game but the user could still change it and the vast majority of broadcasters use broadcasting software independent of the game so those may not be accurate.
