Why does the subscriptions endpoint still not include total sub and sub point count?

Considering so many streamers want to include this information on stream, including myself, this is a pretty glaring hole. Currently, all you can do is get a list of your current subs, but this doesn’t always add up correctly. For one thing, you have to subtract yourself and any permanent subs you get as a partner. That is annoying but easy enough to work around. The really annoying thing is that if someone upgrades their sub tier, then both subs count until the original expires, but there’s NO way to know this from the API since it just lists everyone’s current tier. My current workaround is to just have an offset that I set and check before every stream and compare with my dashboard, but I hope I don’t have to point out why that should be completely unneccessary.

I found this question from 2017 asking the same question, so this has been an issue for a long time. Are there any plans to fix this? I just don’t understand why this doesn’t exist given such widespread need for it.

There probably already is a request for sub points.

Good call. I found this idea and left a comment expanding it, so if anyone else cares, please vote on it. https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/39817966-provide-api-to-return-subscriber-points
